County Durham-based business Industrial Workwear is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with a £250,000 investment in its factory, staff, machinery and website.

Carl Jackson, e-commerce sales manager at Industrial Workwear, explains the success of the company is down to constant investment in the latest technology, allowing it to offer quick turnaround coupled with high quality decoration.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the company is putting £250,000 into a new B2C website, new machinery and increasing its factory space by a third, as well as creating 10 new jobs.

Sales director Craig Hamilton said: “Our plan for growth started six years ago. Firstly, we wanted to make the company completely financially stable and build strong foundations which would allow us to create a launchpad for growth. After six years’ hard work growing the B2B side of our business, we are now in a strong position to tackle the lucrative online consumer workwear market and grow our business rapidly.

“We couldn’t have achieved this without our loyal and skilled north-east workforce, who are the backbone of our business. This is why we are delighted to create 10 new roles, four of these being apprentices, to help spearhead our growth.”

The new website will be launched on 18 March 2019.
